About me
Born of a profound yearning to feed the creative mind, Diligent Dilettante Design is the outlet for artistically compelled founder, Amy Rivinius.
How I came into Design -
I retired from the Marine Corps in October of 2020. As an officer, my career was mostly Information Technology Operations, Management, and Administration. I was happiest working on projects alone, building the networks or troubleshooting system issues. As I was promoted, I no longer had the opportunity to enjoy the “hands-on” technical side of my work and missed it. Over the last few years, I have returned to my roots and discovered great pleasure in Website and Graphic Design. I find it has been a natural path for me to transition into “retirement.”
23 years of military service instilled drive, dedication, and commitment to the pursuit of excellence in my work. I enjoy collaborating with my clients in the development of their designs and love the opportunities to co-create.
When it comes to putting yourself out there, You deserve design tailored to You – the You at your core and all you bring to this world; an e-Presence that grabs attention and demands acknowledgement.
My focus is to create Graphic Media and Design Content that is a direct representation of your business and You; content tailored around your vision and the image you want the world to see.
In my free time -
I love the beauty of nature and the energy it brings to those who are receptive. I’ll sit quietly in the backyard and listen; listen to the wind sigh softly, birds’ as they chirp contentedly, bees hovering around the garden flowers. I am happiest outdoors with my dogs and family. I enjoy traveling and camping in our trailer. Whenever life feels overwhelming, I’ll load the dogs into the car and we’ll head out for fresh air, sunshine, and exercise in the mountains. Outside, lost in my surroundings, nature and my dogs feed my soul and heal my spirit.

Learning is a constant in life, and even more so in this field. I am always researching new ways to improve my output and increase my expertise.
